Every once in awhile here I see a comment that references one of the online dating app options, and the opinions are really polarized.

I don't really want to talk game, strategy, or more proof on the AF/BB of Tinder (I'm 100% sure that it's there).

I've done Tinder (and its many imitators) for the better part of 2 years, and have had endless dates and many of those that ended with a blowjob or more. And I'm 5'7, so I'm sure that I'm playing at some "disadvantage."

Anyway, I took about 3 months away from the apps over the summer (right when I started getting into TRP) and figured I needed the time to reset my perspective.

I noticed in those 3 months that I was a lot more patient in my life, self-actualizing (went after my goals more readily), and generally had higher self-esteem.

I rejoined in mid-October, and I have been reflecting that it's mostly just brought more distraction and low satisfaction back into my life. The good feelings that I had have started fading a little bit, and I don't want to end up relapsing into old, bad blue pill ways. I'm debating on just deleting all of it tonight — it's not that I haven't had success, I just feel like the success is all so binary and hollow.

That's just my pseudo-field report, but I'm really curious as to other perspectives out there.

I'm not so concerned with Tinder's viability to get me laid — I know it can do that with enough time and effort.

I'm more curious as to whether or not you see it as nothing more than a fun diversion that can undermine you in the long run.

Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts!
