Biggest example is my on-off friend and I. We go out together, approach together, chill together, and so on. But I'm always comparing and trying to compete to be the more "alpha".

I know this kind of person. It's annoying as FUCK.

Just stop doing it.

If you force yourself stop doing it, you'll learn the ways to cope without needing it.

Let yourself fail and learn to be happy for others. You think you are lacking somewhere, and probably are, but until you know how and why you need to look at the issue its causing you and do what you think is right. In this case, I'd suggest deliberately letting someone else have the win you think you deserve. Play the sidekick and get the hero what he needs. It'll do you wonders.

Life is weird that way. We often dnot understand the answers to our questions until we figure them out ourselves.

Envy is a personality trait. You focus on what you don't have. Envy is like an emotionnal transe where you focus on what you lack as a human beeing. Try to focus on the present. Envy can't exist if you're in the present. Find ways to make your present more meaningfull, more beautifull, with your way to look at things. It must be done by DOING.

Once you'll start to see how you can contribute to the world with YOUR qualities, you'll be happier. Envy will be easier to control. Try to recognise when envy kicks in, then CHOOSE to disengage. Envy is an emotion that can be controlled.

If you managed to control it, you'll be able to see what's unique in every person without the negative envy. Then you'll be able to connect very quickly with a lot of people. But first you have to control envy.

I don't see alpha necessarily as always a competition between men.

It's more like you are or you aren't, and if another man is out-competing you, that's life, it happens.

There's no way some 5'3 dude is gona compete with a 6'3 dude on the dance floor in a nightclub. But he could be infinitely more alpha simply by virtue of understanding simple principles the 6'3 dude doesn't.

dude my friend does this shit and it almost made me cut him off a couple of times.. always tries to compete with me and compare..everything you said and i called him out saying "look man i'm not in a competition with you you aren't the cimpetion" idk what else to say to him anymore idk what he's envious of cause he's doing good pulling pussy lol
