Summary: There are plenty of answerable questions which would make life easier for us. Can we do something about answering them?

Psycho/sociological research doesn't really need that much investment or expertise. What it does need is solid statistics skills, rigorosity and willingness to admin when you're wrong. So I was wondering if there are people who want to try and design a few experimental setups for TRP-related questions.

For example, we had a pretty interesting concept by /u/omlala about women having several ladders: omega, beta, alpha etc. Raising to the top of the beta ladder will put you in the alpha ladder... at the bottom. So, question is:

  • do women keep track of men as being in one category, and there is a transition event from one category to another

  • or women keep score of men's alpha/beta traits, and raise and lower those scores independently?

To answer this you first have to confirm there are actually different categories. One way to do this would be to get women to score different actions/traits, and see if they naturally correlate into constellations. etc.

Once we have the setup ready we can implement it in various ways - online forms, questionnaires in universities, maybe with help from some grad students. Thoughts?
