This is my throwaway. I've been on TRP for a while and posted occasionally too.

Here's the story, I'm a younger guy (I'll be turning 20 later this year) and I've noticed a trend on TRP:

  • The idea that my (read: male) smv won't reach its zenith until my mid 30s.

The good news is that I think I'm on the right track for that to happen. I struggle to find work in my shitty, rust belt town, and I still live with the 'rents. But I'm fortunate to go to a good (state flagship, anyway) university and I get good grades. Slowly, I am cultivating a network as well.

If there's one aspect of college life that I'm ashamed to say I haven't tapped into, it's the college sex life. I'm not in a frat or anything, and the nature of my major makes it difficult to go out very often. Kind of a shame because I go to a "party" school.

On one occasion where I went out with my buddies, I was the designated "parent" for the evening--sent to make sure everyone made it back home okay, and I was surprised by the licentiousness. Girls would even ask me for my number, or pull me towards them to dance (and it almost felt weird to be the one doing the rejecting--I got some weird looks).

A part of me is almost disgusted by it, but I also kind of want it... and so I've dedicated this summer to building up self-confidence. I've been lifting all through spring semster and into summer, so that helps. Hopefully, I'll find a damn job too. Obviously, I want to be more confident and independent. I'm leery to go about trying seddit-related, gimmicky stuff because I feel like it can be counterintuitive.

I just feel like it's hard for me to feel "alpha" while still living off my parents' high charity, living in the dorms etc. Even though, I wanna get there. y'know?

Being a relative neophyte on the TRP and sexual scene, I'm glad I've found this sub when I did. I guess I'm just wondering what kind of advice a older guy might give to someone my age with regards to cultivating a TRP lifestyle.
