tldr: showing a woman you don't trust her is like filling out a proof for why you are not the alpha.

The way a man trusts a woman is different then the way a woman trusts a man.

If a woman doesn't trust a man who cares. It might be at worst annoying but it doesn't really matter. My knowing she doesn't trust me doesn't change my attraction to her too much.

Conversely, if a woman thinks her man doesn't trust her it is game over. She will be physically repulsed if she thinks you don't trust her. You get the, "you don't trust me?!", "you're jealous/ insecure."

WHY the difference?

By you questioning whether you trust her or not you automatically designate yourself to her as NOT the Alpha. An Alpha has all the options in his domain. If you fear she is with someone else and she catches it, it sends the signal that someone else is THE Alpha and not you. She will be immediately turned off and repulsed by this.
