One: Regarding manliness:

There is no irony in this. This is a place to share ideas. Most people treat it like a buffet. Take and incorporate the ideas that seem to work and leave the others behind. Much like people do with religion or any other form of "self help," you find what works and try to build those ideals in your life to make yourself better. I don't give a shit if those ideas come from strangers on the internet, the Bible, or a PhD. The part I care about is whether or not the rationality behind those ideas seems to make sense and fit in with what I've seen in my life and where I want my life to go.

On top of that, your comment reeks of the typical "Der, it's just a bunch of neckbeard in TRP!!1!1!" garbage that appears elsewhere on reddit.

Two: Regarding "sexual market value"

First, a lot of guys on here still want in women what they wanted at 21 years old: a hot chick who is low maintenance and likes to fuck. Many guys on here are not seeking an LTR, and specifically disavow ever entering into one. You seem to be approaching TRP with the idea that it's ultimate end game for most men is to find a monogamous committed partner for an LTR and "settle down," when that is absolutely not the case for many.

Second, the idea with sexual market value, for most on this sub, is that men and women peak at different points in their SMV. Many guys sat on the sidelines in their teens and early twenties while the females in their age cohort (who were peaking in SMV) were out fucking around. This is not to judge those behaviors; just merely to state what was happening. Now, as those guys approach their late 20s and early 30s, their SMV is peaking, while the SMV of females in that same age cohort is declining. Many of these guys discover that, low and behold, these same women who didn't give a shit about them a few years ago are very receptive. But most of these women profess to be past that "wild phase" and want to "settle down." Well, most of these guys don't want to "settle down." These guys have been settled down for all their lives and now want a taste of the action that their newly increased SMV allows them to have. These guys don't want women who are out of their "fun stage" and will only be performing duty sex inside of an LTR.

Finally, most of the anger about that "about face" is from guys who entered LTRs with these women. They thought, "finally, she recognizes me for what I am. A great guy." But then they get in a relationship with (or married to) these women and suddenly discover that the woman who couldn't get enough AFs only a couple years ago is frigid and only puts out begrudgingly and with no enthusiasm. These guys feel duped. It's not just that men are upset that women are preferring a different type of man as these women "mature." Rather, it's that these post-epiphany women offered the best sexual experiences to the assholes while miserly doling out mediocre sex to the man who has committed their life to them.

This sub has no problem with how women act, it's just about making the best out of how things are. If women want to have sex with a few dozen different men before their thirty that's totally fine! Nothing wrong with that. But there's also nothing wrong with being the kind of guy she wants to have sex with.

Just like she's free to date as many men as she wants up until she hits the "wall" men are free to not commit to women that have hit it.

One: We are here to discuss with like-minded people. I don't think anybody dictates, not any more than books dictate. Of course, the idea that reading something equates to blind acceptance says more about your character than anything else.

Two: There isn't any noise. It's a fact, as you admit yourself, and as a fact is made known to new people who don't know it yet. I don't think that "men should do this and women shouldn't", and I don't think that's a common idea here. Really, it sounds like the bullshit feminists say when talking about double standards, patriarchy and the like.

Here it is, I responded to the merits. Even when, obviously, you are a troll coming from who knows where to "show those misogynists what's what".

By the way, you are not as smart as you think.
