But if you aren't trying to get in her pants then it's a perfectly acceptable thing to do. It's ok to be nice to people. Kindness isn't BP. Using kindness as an emotional manipulation tool in a desperate attempt to get a girl is BP.

Ehh... This is a lame come on. Trying to rationalize when this card could be played successfully in a scenario - can't come up with one.

Having an actual card reeks of desperation (and a bit of arrogance), but if you wrote your name and number or FB link or Skype name or whatever on a scrap of paper when you're in a situation where you for whatever reason can't stop and talk to a girl that catches your eye, it could be a smooth way to score a new plate.

You can't stop to chat up cashiers or some qt3.14 at Taco Bell but if you hand her some contact info when you're leaving and get a call a few hours later you're laughing. Bonus points if you did something like that in front of another plate.
