A while ago, a similar article suggested letting the woman do all of the work of planning an evening, just to prove a point.

I told my girl that I'd been picking the places we go a lot lately (go figure) and suggested we go wherever she wanted, and left the planning up to her.

Instead of making plans ahead of time, her "plan" was to walk around Rittenhouse (the busiest restaurant district in Philadelphia ) at 7pm Friday night, the busiest time for reservations. She was actually shocked that everywhere had an hour wait. We ended up walking around for over an hour (it was a nice night out, plus I was chuckling to myself at this turn of events) until we found a place with an empty table.

During the walk, she kept asking me where to go, I kept telling her she was in charge. What a great night!

This is why you shouldn't "date". If it's not a "date" then the expectations are less. Don't give them the satisfaction/status of it being an acknowledged "date"... just do the old "hang out", "get together", or if you're really romantic "spend time". Don't do the "date".

Things change pretty quick and I'm sure this is a joke but humour has its way because of how closely it tracks reality in the mocking.

I haven't been on a date in years. I don't date anymore & refuse to go back to it. Too much bullshit not enough sex & I don't have feelz whatsoever so there's nothing there for me.

Just the thought of actually going through this gives a good cringe & head-shake.

I want to laugh... but I feel like that would be like laughing at a kitten's corpse after being run over by a truck.
