A few weeks ago I went out with this girl who I asked out while she was doing the flu shot clinic at the office in which I work. During the date I find out she has a six year old son, because of this there is know way I would ever pursue a serious relationship with this woman since I don't want kids and absolutely don't want to raise someone else's bastard. However I was open to having some fun with her. A couple days after the date I text her to see if she would be down for some fun, which she was not. During the [converstion] (http://imgur.com/a/VUtcW) I got the feeling she was trying to get me to agree to pay for stuff for her when we would hang out even though we would be just friends. I have a hard time believing that she sometimes pays for her guys freinds when hanging out, I think she was just bullshitting me. Do people really do that instead of splitting the tab? If I had agreed to her wacky arrangement it would be super easy for her to get out of paying. "Oh I forgot my wallet...can you pay for this one honey?" "Oh I had emergency expenses with my son so my finances are kinda tight this month...can you get this baby?" Sneakiness like that.

Some of you will probably give me shit for paying her way on the one date we went on, which I do kinda regret after she tried to sucker me into being a cash cow(I think). Also, we had made tentative plans to meet for brunch the following weekend. I intentionally didn't text her about to see if she would bring it up. My thinking was that if she just wanted a cash cow she would not text me about meeting for brunch since she would have to pay her own way. I never heard from her so there's that.

What do you think, was she being a manipulative bitch?

EDIT : I think it's worth noting that a day prior to the conversation she mentioned that she lost one of her two jobs.
