Don't overthink it. Sometimes they get away, unless you are a celebrity you just gotta play the numbers game and approach more chicks.

That said, the mistake was trying to get back to her place so quick before she even had a sense of who you were. Some girls will totally do that for an alpha, but you haven't proved yourself to be one yet and unless you're Ryan Gosling you need to game her more before trying to get back to hers or yours.

For that reason I would just go for the n-close in this type of situation. You can still play the movie angle, but say something like "maybe we could watch it together sometime? Either way I'd like to get your number so we can talk again." Either way, I would go for the number now, date later approach as a general rule, unless you're extremely confident in your game, which you clearly aren't.
