How did the Hellenistic Period take place and the Dark Ages follow? Should it not have been the other way around? How did the Age of Enlightenment take place and two World Wars along with the Holocaust follow? Should it not have been the other way around?
"Progess" is an ideal for a reason - it fantasizes about overcoming these base animal instincts you call into question, which is why civilization constantly lives in a back-and-forth dynamic, not up-and-up into some glorious, "objective", conflict-free world of radiating joy and positivity. If the latter were the case, it's reasonable to conclude that we should have reached that point long ago, and even if we did, apparently it wasn't sustainable.
"Ask not for a lighter burden, but for broader shoulders"
Remind yourself of this each time you stumble on one more dark truth, as there are many of them.

Watch out, quoting a Jewish proverb around here could get you labeled a Bolshevik.

What worries me, is that why are ancient animal instincts so damn important in a modern society that is supposed to be on the top?
Because we are still animals at the end of the day. Just really sophisticated ones.
Mt favorite explanation of this comes from a redpill youtuber called Colttaine. He says that biology is our hardware, culture is our operating system, and ideology is the software. The culture is the interface through which the biology interacts with the software.
No matter what sort of software or operating system you have, the hardware imposes natural rules that can never be broken and are visible (to the educated viewer) in how the OS and software functions.
The ancient animal instincts you see are the rules of our hardware. As long as our biology/hardware does not change, they will always be there and will always be important.
Redpill let's us see the hardware rules.

Its not that you need to act as animalistic as possible all the time. It's just that some biological truths can help you in certain situations with women. Look, you can have whatever relations you want, but this sub is about heterosexual men gettin educated, no matter how painful and frustrating it may be.

Well, we at least don't have to worry about them getting "too" muscular. That requires a fuckload more effort for females than they think. And I love it when those horny bitches get their exercise in so they're not ham planets.

Once you hit a certain point in prosperity there ceases to be a real struggle. Being creatures of conflict and determination we as a species invest our own struggles. In the past we needed to secure food and shelter. Other times we had to defend our homes, lives and countries. Now though. Now we're defending us from ourselves. We have no struggle and those that don't understand the reward of hard work and sacrifice become superficial and spoiled. That's the decline.
