Intro

The Blue Pill reality is becoming increasingly hard to believe. People were skeptical of its ‘product’ five years ago, and now see it as totally impotent. We’re just waiting for an emergent replacement.

Body

I haven’t watched a television series since Entourage in the mid-2000s. Hollywood movies are a noxious combination of product placement and social engineering. Our own President calls the network news “fake.” ESPN sets a new record almost every month for subscriber loss, partly due to its liberal bias. Netflix will continue to surge in popularity, but this is still a move away from centralized TV networks that pump controlled information into your living room.

The college system is now widely considered a scam. To give a sense of the gravity of the situation, here’s an except from Mark Cuban’s essay called “The Coming Meltdown in Higher Education”:

The Higher Education Industry is very analogous to the Newspaper industry. By the time they realize they need to change their business model it will be too late. Higher Education’s legacy infrastructure, employee costs/structures and debt costs will keep them from being able to re calibrate to a new generation of competitors. Source

Cuban points out that student loan debt is greater than the debt owed on Auto and Credit Card loans COMBINED. Younger people are waking up to realize these fancy degrees don’t always turn into good jobs, and are increasingly disenchanted with the system. It’s not enough to steer students towards STEM, and discourage them from majoring in English. We’re talking about a system that exploits young people. This is anti-American, anti-family, and anti-prosperity. What the hell are we doing?

Young people do two things all day: go to school and take in media. If both of these promote a fake and exploitative worldview, then we have a big problem on our hands.

Conclusion

Ultimately, the Blue Pill is a smokescreen for the governing oligarchy in the United States. We know that 1% of the country owns 90% of the wealth (New York Times), but we fail to connect the dots from there. We don’t see how the money-power infects all institutions of society. Money sends lobbyists to Washington to write legislation. Money determines what gets shown on television, and taught in the schools.

Money promotes a Global-Liberal-Humanistic worldview (aka the Blue Pill), which teaches people to think in terms of race, gender, and class. This worldview is the current “operating system” for the 99%. This worldview is aesthetically displeasing. It makes people into Homer Simpsons and future characters on The Big Bang Theory.
