What would be some tips about being alpha for a new guy here? Also, what if you are not alpha in size, but in brains? Is there a way around?

Being attractive physically is almost as important as having an attractive personally. It is beauty that captures your attention and personality that captures your heart. That being said, I would recommend starting to work out to get a bigger body.

I am going to college for biology and chemistry, and using that toward medical school. That being said, I was never really a hunky lad. I was a rail. However, the interesting thing about working out is that there are so many ways to look at it. I find it fascinating for a physiological perceptive. In laymen terms, if I lift this heavy thing up and down my muscles will break down and my body will remake them bigger.

Once I got the basics down I researched into how to best do it. Is there a difference between high reps with low weight and low reps with high weight? (Quick answer: yes) Okay, so what muscles look the best visually to me? What do women (men, if you swing that way) think look the best? What are the best functionally? So many questions to be answered. I like researching different techniques to see what muscles they work and the success of them. If you have spent your life training your brain and not your body, do not be afraid to use your brain to aid in training your body.

If you just starting out I would recommend, /r/fitness, /r/gainit or /r/loseit. Personally I like pictures and they keep me motivated so I like seeing how far others have come to push me to push myself into becoming a better me.

The body gets their attention, the personality and game keeps their attention and gets them into your bed.

I was quoting part of a longer poem, but this is true.

Thanks, going to use this as a rough guideline.

Skinny guy here. For reference, I'd say I look quite similar to Vince from Entourage.

Honestly, and some here might take issue with this, I've always found I get better results than most meat heads.

If you want an example of a somewhat skimpy looking 'Alpha' look no further than Russel Brand. The dude's borderline homoerotic but just watch this shit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2eDj39q0Fo)

Here's some advice.

1. Dress to impress. You don't gotta go full Russel Brand but wear slim fit clothing. Worst mistake a skinny dude can make is to wear baggy clothing.

2. Use your wit. I'm VERY snarky, blunt, and unapologetic.

3. Work out. I don't lift but I still do a considerable amount of cardio which elevates my mood and gives me great stamina.

If you're fat, be FUNNY. I know lots of Patrice O Neal type fat dudes who pull mad ass.

It really comes down to what YOU want to be. Whatever you choose, OWN IT and you'll be 'Alpha' regardless.

hit the gym.

but you don't need to be buff to live the life you want, you just need to figure out EXACTLY what you want, realize you deserve it, and go get it.

to me, intelligence isn't how much you know, but how well you can put what you know to good use.

Thanks, makes me feel much better.

If you are worried about size, crossfit is a decent way to meet women and get in shape. You get results fairly quickly, but you should be in reasonable shape beforehand.

You are smart, that is important. I would suggest day game, there are plenty of books on it. It's a bit different than hitting on girls at a nightclub or bar.

Crossfitter here. I can attest to the effectiveness of the workouts. The only downside to it is that it can be expensive for some. However, since the workouts change daily and it is class based, you basically get a personal trainer for each session. It is just that the quality can vary greatly between boxes. If you decide to go this route try a few before settling on one.

You can come across alpha without being fit, so long as youre not fat. In my experience, anyway. Lanky can be made to look alpha if you... thisll sound really dumb. Look mean.

Or if you ARE fat, be funny as hell and OWN it. Like Patrice O'Neal. Listen to the Black Phillip Show if you haven't yet.

That works - Im trying not to speculate. Thanks for filling that in :)
