I like to walk for city transport and have a half hour walk I do alone every week at 21.45. This is a simple and safe walk I do and have done for a while and do not think much of it. Other male friends of mine have a similar attitude to this. Female friends of mine say "Oh I wouldn't do that, as a woman. It's far too dangerous." or "you don't understand, you can't walk anywhere at night as a woman." The world is not that bad. It is in a safe area of the city and I barely notice the other people on the pavement. I feel like this is women acting the victim far too easily in today's society and is indicative of the advantage that women have in today's society.
