Here's something I've been thinking about: the word "bitch."

Unlike what most people believe, bitch is not solely a derogatory word for woman. In fact, its more subtle meaning is one that refers to both men and women in different ways.

"She's such a bitch" and "he's such a bitch" both have clear, unmistakable meanings. Let's analyze this for a second.

For a woman to be a bitch, she is bossy, rude, uncaring, unflinching. "She kept arguing with me and trying to shut me down. She's a bitch." She is not fitting traditional gender roles.

For a man to be a bitch, he is too subservient, pleasing, submissive, caring. "He wouldn't even argue with me. He just let me win. He's such a bitch.' He is not fitting traditional gender roles.

Now here is what is strange. Bitches do not get along.

The world would be a much, much better place if bitches found each other attractive. But the unfortunate truth is that bitch women want masculine men and bitch men want feminine women.

I actually believe that, looking at this deeper, it's the women bitches who are primarily not satisfied with the male bitches. Male bitches will often tolerate, overlook, and gloss over a woman's bitchiness, but a woman will almost always grow to resent a man who is a bitch.

Therefore, my conclusion is that if female bitches were embracing male bitches, healthy relationships between bitches would thrive. However, there must be some deep rooted reason for why this is so unattractive to women that this is not a stable option.
