not only that, but yall should travel to understand how good we have it in the US and Canada. i got to travel a lot as a kid with my dad, and it was a very important lesson in understanding the high degree of opportunities and luxury that we have in the 1st world.

you learn to value a stable government and working infrastructure. you learn to value our religious and economic freedom. you learn to value your right to free speech and not having to fear the religious police or the secret police arresting you for talking shit about the clergy or government. you learn to value the fact that our cops and government employees don't try to get a bribe at every opportunity. you learn to value the absence of thieving gypsies and vagrant children. you learn to value our animal control because there aren't packs of starving feral dogs in the alleys. you learn to value the top-notch universities that we have easy access to, universities that foreign students strive to attend because their own countries are 100 years behind. you learn to value toilets because you don't have to squat over a hole in the ground, or worse, poop in a field and wipe with your hand because the local populace already stripped all the plantlife. you learn to value our access to large living arrangements because the much of the old world is happy to get a 600 sqft apartment for 3. we take so much for granted.

I've lived in developing countries for the past 7 years.

Thailand, particularly Bangkok, has some very nice areas to it. The Thai typically are more elegant and better dressed than Americans (well, who isn't?). The bar girls have some serious financial and family issues and are not representative of, say, middle class Thai people.

It is about an American who falls in love with a bargirl and ends up in a world of hurt.

The men who do this are typically older, post-divorce, with serious psychological issues. Anyone with their head on straight would catch the red flags that parasitic women there would throw up left and right. Besides, these are pros and semi-pros.

That said, if you're afraid to travel to Thailand -- Bangkok is the most visited capitol city in the world -- then please rip off your fucking balls and go back to the bluepill. Thailand is fucking amazing and they are cool with Americans.

One huge difference though -- they are very proud to be Thai, and not interested in diluting their culture like Western countries. What is theirs is theirs. Foreigners are handled (although very well.)

There's a port city in my country that you might consider "developing" if you think the systematic robbery ("privatization") by the selevt few government officials leftover from the communist era is development. A friend that's from the port city says he knows a few model level chicks that do it for 50€.

Wouldn't recommend it because the cheaper they are the bigger their client base/likelihood you'll get something other than fun.
