There's this video made by buzzfeed in regards to women being sexually harassed for dressing up in sexy cosplay. And that there's a reason for doing all this nonsense, to make it a safer environment for all women so they can dress and talk as they like. I believe its called femininity or something not too sure about the details.

They aren't doing it to express that, they just want to see how far they can go before someone says something about it so they can play the victim card like they weren't doing it for validation and attention.
