I’m writing on TRP to gain advice from older and more experienced men who may have previously found themselves in a similar situation. I am a 21 year old marine engineer. For a man of my age I’m quite well paid, attractive and well built (1.94m/6’4.5” tall and weigh 95kg/210lbs), but that doesn’t seem to matter because since the beginning of this year I’ve only had sex with my girlfriend of two years once.

I have been dating my girlfriend, who is one year my senior, since 2011 and cannot fault her. She adds a great deal of value to my life. She is beautiful, loyal and respectful and every girl/woman I’ve ever been interested in can’t hold a candle to her. Until late December 2013 we were having sex between 5-10 times per week but it suddenly ground to a halt. I’ve tried to be quite subtle about the issue, as I wasn’t sure at first if it was due to a medical problem, but she’s since told me that it isn’t and she simply isn’t in the mood. She still shows her affection through other means (kissing and grabbing etc.), but as I’ve mentioned, we’ve only had sex once in almost 6 weeks. Prior to this the longest we’ve gone without was probably a little over a week, and that was only because I was on a business trip.

Do I address this issue now or wait it out for a further week or two in the hope that this issue resolves itself?
