Hello, can I just start off by saying that I love this subreddit. Feel so seen, have always been the one who has felt that my friends boyfriends have been trash witch is why I never got one. Currently 21 and want to start dating. Have been on one "first date" earlier that was a walkdate in May of this year. Ended it after a month because I was so extremely bored.
I now understand that I should have known how he would be from the very start. I think I continued being with him because it was harder to end it than to continue. I did restrict to maximum seeing him 1-2 times a week. He was also being very creepy afterwards.
Sending many texts talking about being a nice guy, and that if I don't want anything serious it doesn't have to be. Anyways answered him once just saying I am not interested. He just continued texting. Later on, a few months ago, he just texted me "you know you are childish" wtf. Regret giving out my number after 2 weeks.
This Friday I am going on my first proper dinner date after finding this subreddit. Met him through tinder. And just don't know how to act. Have always been the type of person who can talk etc.
Never really seen guys in a romantic way and I think that is my reason for finding it so easy to interact with them always been a bit cynical(growing up with a single dad lol who talk about how bad men can be and to be careful) Something I won't mention. Will just say that I have a good relationship with my family.
I just don't know how to act on a dinner date have read everything in the handbook. But a bit curious about the length of the actual date. And the bill thing, I come from a northern European country where it is seen extremely weird for the guy to pay all. If anyone has any other tips, please do share.
