I understand it’s very important for us to be highly critical and analyze what we do and the environment around us to be able to level up and ultimately do what’s best for us.

However my problem is that I tend to overthink and over analyze everything that I do nowadays and end up feeling bad and guilty if there’s another side of a coin. An example is:

I recently bought a very pricey bikini that I had been dying to get for so long (I started my first job and could finally afford to buy something for myself!) I was so excited when I got it and went to the lake and took some pictures of myself in the bikini as it looks really good. I took nice pictures and I was excited to post them on Instagram. Then when I thought about it more I started to think if posting pictures of myself in bikini was actually over-sexualizing myself and posting it was just appealing to the male-gaze (it bothers me and makes me uncomfortable to think guys could look at my pictures and jerk off or think sexually about my body).

I initially wanted to post the picture as I felt good about myself and my body but then questions started flooding in “are you sure it’s not because your body type is specially desired by men and society standards?” “Is this why I got so excited for looking good?” “Is this letting men sexualize you?” “Do I really want guys looking at me this way?” “Will HVM not take me seriously?” “Why can’t I just keep the pictures to myself and want to show everyone?”

I’m fairly young and new to FDS and RadFem but I’m trying to learn as much as possible and be the best version of myself. If anyone could give me some insight it would be great.

PS: I dumped my bf thanks to the FDS sub because I realized I deserved better and even though it’s hard sometimes, I thank the sub so much <3
