FDS and current dating culture has made it clear that women hold most of the power when it comes to sex, marriage, and the dating process in general. Women are more likely than men to initiate divorce and are favoured in courts when it comes to custody of children, alimony, and access to resources. Men are being forced out of service sector jobs like Education and Heathcare as women continue to make up the majority of University students (in North America at least) while men are demonized for pursuing STEM and trade jobs to make up for female competition while obviously not making very much money upfront due to the heavy competition in these fields as well.

I, for example, am a male university student in Germany, and I don’t make more money than any of my female peers. Why then, in an “egalitarian society” should I still be expected to resemble a provider or form of fiscal security? So much of FDS focuses on how men can be better or improve themselves or recognizing good qualities in a man; however, so much of it seems to be filtered through a lens of dating culture that is outdated by about 15 years.

Men growing up in broken families and seeing the effects that divorce, promiscuity, and lack of commitment on their own lives have become rather bitter and cynical towards the whole thing, me included. Hell, the entire “Manosphere” is effectively a reaction to the current dating climate, yet this sub seems to just exist to spite them i.e. male dominated spaces that discuss the toxicity of current dating culture; however, when women hold the keys it’s not exactly easy nor reasonable to have a sub like this.

So my question in a sense is: Why? Why have something like this even exist in the first place when you already know damn good and well that getting a date as a woman is as easy as opening a dating app or approaching a lonely dude at a bar? And to that extent, why should men put up with women who try and apply the things they see in FDS to men they know/meet IRL?

As a man, I can’t even begin to tell you just how arduous, obnoxious, and expensive dating is for us. Seeing what I’ve seen of FDS as a sub I would never imagine even remotely wanting to post there, but since I now have time on my hands I wanna tackle this directly.

Dating as a woman is easy as hell compared to dating as a man, and women in general are the biggest beneficiaries with the most partners and most perks gained via the dating and marriage process. This is hardly debatable as Eurostat, various US department websites, and pages of websites/news articles prove without a doubt where and to whom the money goes.

P.S fuck all the simps in this subreddit too. Y’all make me sick.
