Background: I work two jobs, one has me travel around. Family party coming up coincides with work event. Double booked and really need the money so I took the job. Asked wife if she wanted to come with me while i worked and said she would let me know. Last week my parents asked about party and said they would take my wife and newborn to the party since I had to work. I said ok and I would let them know.

Last night wife is all pissed off because I didn’t consider them and tell my parents in that moment last week that they were planning on coming with me. I came home from gym and got chewed out about how I don’t care and won’t miss them blah blah blah. I said that I told my parents that it was a possibility that you are coming with me and then stfu and took my shower after the gym. Come out of shower and wife tells me to fuck off and she goes to bed so I do my own thing. She comes out a few hours later and demands an apology for my insensitive and arrogant attitude. I deflected and said that her behavior was inappropriate and that I will respond when she acts like an adult. That was the end of that conversation.

Stupid me come morning she’s grumpy and I ask if everything is alright and I frigin apologize for not being more supportive of her when she needed me.

Is she shit testing or comfort testing? I clearly failed at this one big time. Still learning the ropes. I’m a total newbie.
