Before I started dating my LTR, she’s dreamed of doing a program at Disney where she would work for them for 4 months. Her family is big on Disney and she’s always wanted to work there, although this would be an entry position it would get her foot in the door. She never went through with it but she recently found out that she can still apply this coming Fall for her last time ever.

Halfway through our relationship when she applied before, she was very hesitant (as she is now) as she didn’t want anything to happen to our relationship. I even drunkenly discouraged her too which was a bad move on my part and further solidified her decision to not go, but to be fair she did keep asking me for my opinion.

Anyways, this time around I’m not going to be discouraging at all. I can’t hold her back from success of achieving a goal she’s wanted before even dating me. Don’t want to be resented either.

I just want some insight on if I should keep myself appearing to be totally fine with it if she gets accepted and decides to accept the offer? I feel like I’m stuck and just lying if I 100% encourage her

I wouldn’t outright break up with her for it, not throwing away what we have that simply for something temporary. I understand life happens and you can’t be together 100% of the time, these kinds of things happen.. but I’m kind of stuck on how to proceed.
