So I guess this is a bit of a case study more than a question but I'll post in this sub because it's a fairly loose concept open to discussion and doesn't quite make for meaningful content on the main subs.

I'm a RP/MGTOW advocate and self-declared success story. At 14, long before TRP existed (insert hipster joke) I coached myself into confidence over 2-3 years. I couldn't even talk about schoolwork to the girl next to me asking about it, I was so full of teenage fears and anxieties. I set goals week by week. Starting at "acknowledge the girl who speaks to you" and ultimately finishing with cold approaches in the cafeteria or street by about 17. Still a late bloomer in losing my virginity at 18, only a week after my first kiss (to a different girl).

Then I went to university where I could unleash a fully different character, something I tied in with military reserve service in a pretty high-level unit which made me a pretty tough alpha motherfucker. Slept with about 25 girls over three years, thought that was success.

Then I started working overseas, which I've now been doing for three years (now 24, turning 25). I'm now on a count of 80, 45 of which were in the last 14 months. Expat life will transition you into the 'alpha' you aim to be very quickly. It gives you a lot of disposable money, an entire new social circle on the other side of the world, and a huge network of other young expats to experiment your TRP theory on with no longstanding repercussion. But location is everything. When I was based in the UAE I was pretty far out from Dubai in a remote village, and cold approach is illegal there (its seen as harassment) so I went pretty monk mode other than a couple colleagues i slept with, got big into my fitness and stoic philosophy. I moved to Hong Kong which is rife with young English teachers and finance grads with a good bar scene so everyone is into fucking on the first date then remaining friendly with the option to fuck again. Everyone, male or female, is playing the plate game there. Then I worked at a party hostel in Thailand - i don't need to explain why that's a fuckfest. Now I'm in sri Lanka for 5 months where I've gone monk mode again because the backpackers here aren't the slutty type (more dreadlocks, weed and meditation types, not my scene). Location is EVERYTHING.

I'm an adventure guide by trade, keeping me in good shape already plus I add in my own circuit training etc, and it's my profession to know how people tick. If I'm working with kids that's educational theory and facilitation, if it's with adults it's knowing how to communicate with different character types to give them the best experience (and get better reviews online as a result). In other words, behaviour and communication skills are the real skillset of the job - safely guiding a hike, climbing session or kayak trip are just the 'hard skills' you acquire with experience and training.

Now, travel lifestyle aside, I'm very MGTOW. My first and only real girlfriend was emotionally abusive to the point of definite psychological damage. But I suppose I want to highlight that being RP/MGTOW does not make you an incel or loser, like society thinks. What we need less of in this community though is the FUCKING VICTIM MENTALITY.

This movement is going in a bad direction right now. The amount of victim shitposts is getting ridiculous.

YOU are in control of YOUR LIFE. Get fit. Get stoic. I don't care whether you're in the early stages of development or pretty much all the way there (there's A LOT more to learn but I realise now I'm one of the more 'finished' examples of what the average TRPer aspires to be). Wondering why women don't value you, or spitting the hate against women like most MGTOW posters, isn't productive. Stop thinking about what women can do wrong and focus on what you can do right. Breed that mindset.
