It has come to my understanding that 90% of the people in my life are currently useless to me 90% of the time. They are not onboard the ship of trying to help me fix neither my simple nor my complex problems. They are not even aware that the ship exists; either they are too stubborn, too ignorant, or I haven't made an effort to involve them more. Most of them don't realize the internal and external struggles I'm facing. I've begun to casually consider a framework of ideas elaborating the potential reasons for taking my own life in the next 4 to 8 years.
Similarly, I also see a number of people in my extended family and friends who are also in similar circumstances, in dire need of turning their life around. I'd like to lead by example.
My own struggles with enlisting help have made me realize just how many people are trapped in chronic despair and disappointment - and content themselves with short-term pleasure and band-aid fixes to keep depression at bay. Their day-to-day life isn't a catastrophe but the downward trend is.
There are 3 groups of people to be considered:
Legend:
"target audience"
[Suggested Action]
1 - "the people in my life who are currently maximally stubborn , useless, or shallow"
[Providing a very serious ultimatum , if they'd like to remain in my life. These people can potentially be set straight with the proper scare tactic. ]
2- "the people I need to add"
[Searching for great people as allies in business, health, and systematic encouragement. Creating & continually modifying a selection process]
3- "My good friends, who I currently have mostly casual, shallow relationships with"
[Determine via a series of deep conversations if they are interested in helping me out systematically (i.e. scheduled) with my mental health and life planning]
tl-dr;
Over the last year I've been working consistently to try and turn things around, and I've realized that most of my surroundings are people who are either unaware that I could use their help, or too ignorant and prideful to realize they are trapped holding patterns that are making their life or mine worse.
I've realized that I need to go on a "MONK MODE" where I cut out all the holding patterns and noise, and all time spent on activities that are not geared towards the goals/stepping stones that I've established as very valuable . This is not possible without improving my supporting cast.
I'm looking for advice on how I might set such a plan in action, and negotiate with people to restructure my relationship with them. I'd like to appear very serious and driven, project intensity and motivation, rather than desperation, rashness, or delirium.
