So I've done the lifting thing, using suggested here (thank you, it worked) powerlifting routines for exactly 1 year. I'm now able to dead-lift twice my bodyweight, bench press my bodyweight for 5 reps and overhead press 80% of my body weight. All huge progress.
Problem is, I don't enjoy lifting or callisthenics that much as I enjoy Olympic wrestling classes, kick-boxing or power yoga. I need to force myself mentally to do it, whereas with wrestling and etc., it's something I'm really looking to do after work.
Is there something I can get into, which will develop my upper body muscles (aesthetics first, then strength)? Hitting pads with full force maybe?
I do understand the importance of diet, calorie surplus, proper rest and that lifting is superior for muscle development.
Posted here, coz for /r/fitness my account has not enough karma or is not old enough :/
