Before I left the church I was paired up with a mentor, an older man in the church who would meet up with me to talk.
These talks were rarely that religious and more focused on general things of life, and his advice to me as I was trying to handle new situations and learn important lessons.
However almost two years have passed and in that time I've closed the gap and I feel like I'm left with nothing to learn from him. I tried to talk about new developments and he is hellbent on talking about the same old stuff I've moved past.
I've no idea if anyone will have a helpful answer for this but I just want to find someone older than myself to learn from. Being 23 I've still lots to learn.
Edit: I live in Scotland btw.
