Hey guys. I've been browsing TRP for a while and have even provided some of my own insight, but I want some advice on a situation that's going to happen within a few days.
On Saturday, today being Wednesday technically, I'm going to see a friend of mine belly dance. This came up because I invited her to this salsa event that the Latina sorority was hosting and she declined, saying she couldn't miss any belly dancing practices otherwise she'd be out of some huge performance. I told her to tell me when she found out the performance was, since she said she didn't know, and that I'd come to it. She mentioned Saturday and I told her I might come. Now, she also told me that this girl I asked out back in my beta days (see: 1994-March 2014). I know to keep minimal contact with her, though don't make it obvious that I'm ignoring her. How should I be aloof/alpha throughout the event? A plus is that another of both girls' friends is on my board for the student association I run. We've been getting a lot done, so I believe that that's a plus for social proof since I know she, the board member friend, has been talking about our accomplishments.
The event is going to be held at a hookah cafe. I don't smoke, so I'll most likely be socializing or just watching. None of these girls, excluding the board member, have seen me since the summer. Since then, I've been hitting the gym a lot and have made noticeable gains. I've also read up on "From Good to Great", "48 Laws of Power", and a few others. I've also recently started working at a hospital ER and have grown a nice beard. Writing this makes me feel like I'm hamstering about wanting to make the girl I asked out jealous, so I want advice on how to, as previously stated, remain alpha/aloof in this environment while not thinking about that girl. I genuinely want to see the belly dance show since I love belly dancers.
