TL:DR Attractive guy, got into high school and I started getting acne. My confidence disappeared even with the large amount of female attention, I can’t convince myself that I’m attractive. Acne is literally controlling the way I live and behave at the moment. Help.

I’ve always considered myself an attractive male. Once I started high school though, all that confidence went away. Acne happened. Acne is literally controlling the way I feel throughout the day, it’s really depressing. I’m thinking about acne all day! I wake up? I go to the mirror and check my acne. I’m about to go to sleep? I check my acne. I’m currently cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing while avoiding dairy and gluten. These changes have been making a slight difference. If I wake up and my skin looks a little better-which is rare-I feel awesome. I can literally approach anyone and I feel like I can conquer anything. But the moment I wake up and see that I got another pimple, this confidence quickly vanishes. Despite this acne phase, I still get a great amount of female attention. I play varsity soccer so that already boosts my social status.i receive a great amount of female attention. But no matter what, it’s just not enough to convince me that I’m as attractive as they say I am, and I don’t think anything or anyone will persuade me otherwise, it’s all up to me. I tell myself frequently that after my face clears up, I will become the most confident guy in the world, I know this is not correct. I should love and feel confident about myself, acne or not. Thoughts?
