Basically, theres a girl that hangs around me and my friend (who is also my roommate). She use to be a real friend until I discovered TRP and now she is just a potential lay. But, I'm new and need some help that will solidify my understanding of shit tests.

Here is a common scenario that happens a lot: Us three (sometimes others) hanging out watching TV, or grabbing something to eat. She directs most of her attention to me, mostly engaging in conversation with me and not my roommate. I've been trying to utilize RP principles to attract interest, and I think its going well. But, she will, randomly and sharply, express large amounts of interest in my roommate for a brief period of time and then go back to me.

Example, im sitting with her on the couch, while roommate is sitting on another couch. We are mostly talking while roommate is watching TV and only interjecting every now and then. Then, suddenly, she gets up to throw something away in the trash, and then comes back and sits next to him, and largely directs her attention to him and not me.

I thought the best way to handle this was to then go up stairs to my room for an extended period of time, and leave those two downstairs (there is also another person down stairs watching TV in a chair so it isnt like I left them alone.) I thought this would be the best way to handle it, act as if I don't need to be there anymore and ive got something more important upstairs in my room. I think it worked well because when I was down there, I created a fun environment because of my personality, and when I left it sounded pretty dull.

10 minutes go by, and she decides to leave. She then says bye to the friends downstairs, and then shouts my name. I dont respond. She then walks up stairs to say bye to me and ask what I was doing. I say "oh just taking care of something" and I walk her to our door.

Comments, suggestions? What should I have done differently? Should I have tried to make a move when she walked up stairs to say bye to me?

My main concern is if she is shit testing me, and is attracted to me, or if she is using me to shit test my roommate, and she is actually attracted to him.
