Back in the days where I was shy, I would make friends by making people laugh. With a few words, people noticed and liked me. No one disliked me, because all I did was make people laugh.

Nowadays, when I see something funny, I turn to my friend sitting beside me tap him on the shoulder and show him whatever was funny. I wait for his laugh, it's like o get a dopamine rush from his laugh. But this doesn't spark a conversation or anything, he laughs then goes back to doing whatever he was doing. I notice he does the exact same to me.

After pausing and thinking about it for a while, an I right in thinking that iam requesting his attention, then showing him something in the hope he will find it funny.

Is there any point in sending people funny pictures n shit? Does it actually help build a friendship?
