Usually, I send a couple to build banter and ask for the date in no more than 4 exchanges. What did you text? If it called for a response and she didn't respond, I'd move on. Even if it didn't call for a response, she would have texted back if she was interested

You're absolutely right. I should be doing these things on my own. But when I think about a woman adding value to my life, these are the things I look for. For example, I could learn another language on my own, but I can also do that by finding a Spanish girl to converse with.

2 kids. Ltrs that lasted over 5 years. Sure, on some level I probably get complacent at times. Everyone does.

I want to be happy and accomplish the goals I set for myself. TRP is generally framed as a pua strategy by those who are only scratching the surface. To me, TRP is just another tool to help me reach my goals. If someone's only goal in life is not to be a "cuck", I'm over here thinking that's some pretty shallow, insecure shit

Great comment. There's not just one way to live life. There's an infinite number of ways to do it, to be happy, successful, and all within the rp philosophy if that happens to be the way someone wants to live. Rules and guides can be very helpful, but if you don't spend any effort deciding what is right for you, and you just mindlessly follow what you read on the internet, you're always going to be some schmuck going through life without knowing what you really need and want.

To #2: I'm a little older than what I think is the typical age here, but one of the reasons I ltr a woman is because she is smart and has interests that are new to me. I want someone who is going to help me expand my view of the world and experiences. You mention ordering all the food. I actually want someone who will push me to try new food. Order away, honey. Otherwise, I'm not necessarily going to find new stuff. That new restaurant I never would have heard of. Let's try it. The same can be a…

There's a ton of older guys like me who generally prefer a woman in her 30s for something other than plate status. Sure, women in in their 20s are more attractive, but it's rare that they bring something to the table other than looks, in my experience

Most women, if marginally attractive, can always find a guy
/r/askTRP01/05/19 04:49 PM
6

You're treating her like a gf, not a plate. How do you think she's going to react when you avoid responding about feelings? It's inconsistent with how you've treated her this far. She may not be fucking other people yet, but you're about to get an ultimatum methinks. Figure out what you want from her. It might be difficult for you to now treat her like a real plate because that's not how you've acted to date.
/r/askTRP30/04/19 07:03 PM
4

I'll just echo this. You need to get out of your head. Treat it just like another fact about you, like your hair color. Own it. Your tone here suggests you view it as a negative and that's how is going to be received. The women open to dating a guy in your situation just want some convincing that you're not going back to your wife
/r/askTRP29/04/19 04:48 PM
1

I generally don't tell until I'm asked, but this is up to you to read the situation. If you think the girl will flake immediately upon learning this info you might disclose it up front and save yourself time
/r/askTRP29/04/19 04:44 PM

I've found thre best strategy is to just own this one. Just tell the truth about your status. Like the other dude said, most won't care. It will disqualify you with many women by default and that can work in your favor if not going for ltr

The question is whether it is worth it to you to do what you have to do to get her to act like you want. Then you'll have to sustain it for the duration of the relationship. It's not just a short term decision. We don't know what she brings to the table so none of us here can really answer that question for you. It's not going to get easier as you get older and your lives progress (kids, etc)

Not sure about Nevada law, but 4 days shouldn't be enough for permanent alimony. Maybe pending the divorce if he loses the annulment

Everyone has a different style, but I typically get a brief 1-3 message exchange going and then shift to setting the date quick. Too much banter and she gets bored. She's either going to say yes or no. If no, then move on. Either way, you save time

I think I would give a short text to build some comfort and balance against a potential accusation. Her reaction may dictate where things go especially if she goes crazy. After that, it depends on what you want. Want to continue with her? Hit her up in a few days as you normally would and act like nothing happened.

Find what makes you happy and go with that. Some guys want 5 girls, some guys are happy with 1 they really connect with. Some guys have the mindset where they enjoy balancing multiple women and are constantly looking to add or replace their women. Some guys don't have the time or motivation for that. For me personally, I have too much going on with work and kids to manage more than 2 women at a time. That will probably change as my kids get older, but right now that's all the time I can devote t…

Women will directly approach, it's just not common and not efficent use of time. More commonly, however, a woman will indirectly approach you just by placing herself in your immediate vicinity to make it easier for you to approach. You need to recognize when this happens

I think I misinterpreted op's use of "scortched Earth". I took it to mean the typical contentious divorce situation where you fight and argue over everything and hate each other. It seems his meaning was just to end the relationship entirely. I agree with that approach
/r/MarriedRedPill01/02/19 07:59 PM
1

I agree with the message, but going full scorched Earth isn't always the best method. Typically that involves throwing a lot of money away on lawyers never to be seen again. It's also high stress and conflict. Not the best for your long term health or kids. That's not for everyone.

I should have added, you can never meet their expectations. They can't even meet their own expectations of themselves.
/r/TheRedPill14/01/19 06:34 PM

It gets easier as they get older. The problem is that women have a different philosophy of how much care the child needs at any age really. Also, society has conditioned women on this "good mother" ideal and it guides their actions and expectations. The problem is resentment builds because they never see you match the effort they put in (or even think they have to put in) to meet the societal standard.

You can't trust this girl for whatever reason. Be it because she is not trustworthy or because you are insecure. Either way, you can't trust her so you'll never be happy. Get your finances untangled and either you leave or she leaves. You don't have to confront her out anything. Just go.

The recording may not be admissible in court, but the DA probably would not bring charges. DA theoretically should not bring charges known to be false and if he did that tape would come out in the media. Court of public opinion > all.

You may be overthinking this. It's one thing to be the perpetual clown and have your identity tied up in that. But hell, part of friendship is sharing. Fiction helps you to be interesting. Dragons and elves have a place depending on what sort of people you associate with. Typically, fantasy books, Harry Potter, etc., are written with a younger/less well read audience in mind. They are easier books to read. The more advanced literature will speak to a certain crowd as well. It will also expand your vocabulary and generally help you to be more well rounded.

My kids have a wifi only phone at their mother's for the exact same purpose. If you're concerned about spying just turn the power off while it's at your home and don't allow it access to your network. You could always propose that she be allowed to contact your child on your phone at any time.

If you think dealing with a boyfriend or husband is bad, what do you think a father might do to you? I catch someone older than the age of consent with my daughter and I don't know what I would do. If I don't kill the guy, I definitely make sure he goes to jail for as long as possible. Edit: just saw your age of consent is 16. Might matter to me, but it won't matter to a lot of others

I don't care if my daughter fucks a black guy. As a parent, my goal is to raise a woman who can support herself and make good decisions for herself throughout her life. What's the difference between a girl fucking a black guy and a dude fucking a redhead or girl with fake tits, etc., just to say he's done it?

You need to learn how to position yourself so that you aren't ever vulnerable to being stabbed in the back. I know that's pretty general, but I typically am reserved with people until they earn my trust over time.

I was in a similar situation. I ended up making an effort, made a couple good friends and had friends outside of school. I'd probably take the job if I was your age. Live like you're making what you make now and put all of the extra money into savings or invest it. Splurge on yourself and take a nice vacation when you get the chance. Do it for two years and you'll have twice as much money in the bank than you would otherwise. At that point you're pretty well set to do whatever you want.

You would have to have a great amount of self-control to quit on your own. Have you successfully quit anything else in life you were seriously addicted to? You're probably better off getting help either professionally or in AA.

Agree. I don't think a lot of people realize the effort a parent puts into raising a child until they have their own children. It's a lot of work to be a good parent, and takes up a lot of time. The least a kid can do is lend an ear when mom wants to vent. If OP still lives at home and is supported by his parents, even more reason to take a few minutes and just listen to her.

From reading your op, you started as friends before any battle too. TRP thinking is good for a lot of things, but don't let ego and desire to be superior to your friend (all the time) destroy what sounds like your best friendship.

When I was a freshman there were a few guys in my class who were 21. They fit right in, and many of them gravitated to friendships with college seniors who were basically the same age. If you make friends within the older classes, you're going to have a mainline right into established social circles. This is sometimes better than with freshmen right out of high school who can still be coming out an awkward phase.

What state are you in? A lot of states have child support tables published so you could go get an idea of what your monthly child support payment might look like
/r/askTRP21/06/18 08:28 PM

Marriage = alimony. Child support is between you and the child so marriage means nothing. In theory, child support is purely for the benefit of the child and not so mom can live cushy and unemployed.

I don't know about Iowa, but if she ever marries this guy, you may be able to get a reduction if the state allows the court to consider his income as part of the overall calculation.

If you have a prenup and you think there is a chance a judge will throw it out, you need to get to the table and negotiate the best settlement you can before it gets thrown out. Balance your risk and reach a middle ground agreement before you get it in the ass by a judge. It's hard because people going through divorce or custody disputes are angry and fueled by emotion. Dads need to put the emotions aside and think long term.
/r/TheRedPill20/06/18 03:06 AM

I feel you man. I'm not passing judgement. I know it's difficult. Not everyone has the option of going 50/50. In fact, it's no surprise that the family courts favor moms.
/r/TheRedPill20/06/18 02:58 AM
1

Exactly, by statute they calculate the total child support obligation and that obligation is then reduced by custody time and then adjusted proportionally to the income of each parent When most guys talk about getting killed by child support, these are the dad's that have zero or every other weekend custody arrangements. For Dad's that remain equal or close to 50%, you don't get hit that bad and, if she makes more than you, she will very likely owe you child support
/r/TheRedPill20/06/18 02:53 AM
1

In many states, it's purely a statutory calculation based on: income earned by each parent, custody time, and child care expenses that are incurred in addition to the base support obligation (think private school, health insurance, etc. I want to stress that the calculations are very dependant on the custody time for each parent. There are different statutory calculations applied depending if it's sole custody, equal custody... And so on
/r/TheRedPill20/06/18 02:47 AM
3

It depends on the state, but I very much did read what he said. As you go from 0 towards equal, shared custody, your child support obligation decreases significantly. But hey, in just a guy that has equal custody and a child support order that requires me to pay very little to my ex. I don't know what I'm talking about. /s
/r/TheRedPill20/06/18 02:42 AM
12

You must have very little custody time. When things go to 50/50 then the child support payments get reduced to account for the fact that you pay equal support obligations because you have the kids half the time. It's still income based, but wouldn't be anywhere near 45% take home.
/r/TheRedPill19/06/18 09:01 PM
24

I have 50/50 custody of my kids. Didn't take it up the ass financially, and I do consider it a win. I actually love my kids and want an active role in raising them. If that's BP, so be it. Plus, if the ex had sole custody I would be getting financially raped.

Read how to win friends and influence people. Models also has a good portion dedicated to conversation. In general, read more fiction, watch some documentaries, etc. Expand your knowledge base. Let people talk about what interests them and learn. Ask questions, keep them talking.

Join a coed rec sports league. Kick ball, soccer, softball. Most of the teams I've ever played on all hang out together after games

It really just depends on the school. In the end, I'd rather have a school that gave my kids a great education that sets them up for success than have them be idiots. That takes priority over anything else.

If you haven't done it yet, get that custody agreement and property settlement signed and finalized while she's focused on her new guy and doesn't really care about the details.

Most definitely. I just wanted to add this bit of info.

Just to add here... In most states the refusal to answer can be used against you in a civil case. The presumption is that had you answered it would have been against your interest

So make sure the kid gets punished for disrespecting you openly. He can hate you all he wants, but don't allow him to do it in your face. You're the adult and he's the kid. Put him in his place.

Your company doesn't have a policy for discipline when a kid needs to be punished?

I'm lucky I guess because I don't send a check. 50/50. And, if you have kids, you're never really alone

Late thirties and divorced. I will tell you that everything will be great as long as you are comfortable with being alone... Whether you are actually alone or not

Best piece of advice, if you have no idea what you are doing, is to follow the recipe exactly. If you have absolutely no experience cooking, watch some you tube videos or take a class to learn technique. As a guy, you're really only expected to know how to grill meat. Figure that out and do it well. beef 125-135°; chicken and pork at least 165°. You can easily grill vegetables with a metal basket or wrap in foil. Easy way is to pour some Italian dressing on there and grill. This is just a very b…

You made a point about your dad telling you at 7 that your mom had cheated. Was that significant for you? I'm in a similar situation and haven't said anything about that to my 8 year old because I don't want it to traumatize her. To me, it's an adult problem she shouldn't have to be burdened with until she's older. My divorce also did not go nuclear and I have 50/50 custody.

I'd probably delete this thread too. It might be construed against you if they end up seizing your computer/phone if it does end up being legit

Don't talk to anyone. Only your lawyer after a cop comes to your door. You probably don't need to talk to a lawyer yet, but it would be a good idea to have some numbers of lawyers you can call if you get approached. Don't talk to the cop other than to say you need a lawyer present. Like others said, probably just a scam. Could be a current BF or something too. Try not to worry about it until real shit starts happening. He doesn't know what she wants yet? BS. If this is real, that would have been…

I'm lifting and looking to build muscle. I am trying to eat at a 200-500c surplus per day. Some days I don't hit my surplus through food alone, but with a few beers or so I will go over into surplus calories. The question is, will the calories through the booze contribute to putting me in the surplus for building mass, or are these just wasted calories that do nothing or go straight to fat. In other words, do I still need to try and hit my daily surplus solely through food? (Putting aside any nu…

My simple take on what he means by being vulnerable, and I'll paraphase some of his language, is having the confidence to go out there without fear of rejection and lay your neck on the chopping block. You be yourself and not some phony just because that's what you think people will like. It means that when you do get rejected for who you are, you don't care because you have the confidence, self-esteem, and internal validation to fall back on.

Depends on where you live, but some states you can elect to have separate property. I have a friend who has this arrangement. Typically the property you have before marriage stays your property. Cash is different if put into a shared bank account. Typically, property that has a title remains separate... Like a house. That doesn't mean that there still won't be things to litigate in court. Some prenuptials are good, but that doesn't mean you won't have to spend a small fortune to win. She could s…
