That sounds plausible, but not because women don't enjoy variety or are somehow more satisfied with a lower number of partners compared to men.

The higher value the mate relative to you, the more likely you are to enjoy them long term. Talking beauty, personality, the whole package.

Women exhibit less desire to "fuck as many people as humanly possible", because it is relatively easy for them to establish a sexual relationship with a higher value mate. Duh. That's AF/BB. Long as she's getting that alpha dick she isn't going to be in a hurry, but might use sex for other reasons IE comfort, cash, social maneuvering, etc.

Men on the other hand most frequently land girls at or below their SMV. A guy punching up in terms of SMV requires rock steady frame & those guys are rare. So in general, most guys are dealing with girls they can easily replace, girls who don't have that "wow factor". So of course, variety is a good way to keep things interesting. Plus the fact that most women are just warm drama factories, so it might not even be because the sex got boring, just her personality that's gotta go.
