followed red pill for about a year, haven't done shit with it. I had bad approach anxiety. decided this morning fuck it I'm gonna try to approach someone. Walked by three girls I wanted to talk to, didn't. Ended up going to the library and sat across from this hot blonde with this conservative goth-ish aesthetic. Spent a solid 20 minutes fucking around on my phone trying to get the courage to say something, I was overthinking, imagining what I would say and trying to rehearse a bit. every minute or two I would tell myself alright in 60 seconds I'm walking over and sitting next to her, say something slick and eventually somehow give her my number and tell her to do what she wants with it and leave. Its embarrassing how fucking stuck I am with such a simple conversation, and I guess I just need more experience. Anyway I eventually stand up and start walking towards her, and at that point I'm dreading it but I know i'm too committed now and I have to talk. So I walk up to her and say hello. she says hi with an awkward smile, she was listening to something so I had made her take her headphones out. I was thinking alright this is it. I go, "hey I think you're cute." she says thanks, I tell her I like her style. She says thanks again. At this point I'm outside of myself and I'm like where tf is this going. we exchange names, and i shake her hand. I don't feel like its real life like my brain shut off something, the conversation doesn't even feel like its actually happening. Maybe I was just shocked that actually I told she was cute and the timeline didn't implode. Anyway, I was like "uhh alright well I just wanted to say hello before I left bye" and then I walked off. I was annoyed with myself for not getting the number close, but I really just wanted to get out of there, and honestly I was probably anxious about where things would go after and I just folded since I wasn't that attracted to her anyway. I still can't really believe it happened, like I was talking to some npc in a dream or something. She just wasn't responding in a way that felt normal or natural. Is there any way to help this with day approaches? It would probably would have worked better if I let the conversation continue, maybe make some jokes and have her relax and laugh. Just the nerves man. If you have any tips to help relax the vibe in the initial approach, so it doesn't feel like I'm on stage or something... I hate this...
