So I was talking with this girl I had known for a while at a mutual friend's party and felt like we really hit it off. I ask her out a few days later and she says yes.

Due to conflicting schedules we don't meet up for two weeks. I dont text her except to confirm plans and during which there is some banter and flirting.

First date goes well, I joke and trease her a bit and engage in kino. We go for a walk after and hold hands. We sit at a park bench but she is turned facing forward, not making eye contact with me, end up not kissing.

We drive back and ask if she wants to come in, she declines saying she has to work early. Then she says she had a good time, but she had a rough breakup with her last relationship and she wants to get to know me as a person.

I haven't texted her since. Should I wait for her to contact me? Any advice on approaching a second date and escalating? It seemed like she pulled back a little towards the end, and I know the mantra with trp is to not give more attention/interest than she has shown you.
