I’ve got a question regarding the Captain/First Mate dynamic that u/Clint_Redwood has spoken about on TRP. Part of being the Captain and leading your First Mate is supporting her when necessary. As far as I am aware, you should support your woman’s mission so long as it doesn’t interfere with your own mission nor her primary mission to make me happy.

My question: how do you balance being supportive and giving her too much time/attention? What is “too much”? Where do you draw the line? I understand it’s contextual, but I would appreciate some pointers.

I ask this because I have been supporting my LTR with a project she has going on; by giving feedback and helping her with the technical side of it, but also being her rock and encouraging her when she’s feeling low in confidence about it. She has been vocally very appreciative throughout; although unable to show that in action other than nudes because we are in lockdown, she has repeatedly said she ”can’t wait to show her appreciation” after lockdown is lifted.

I have made sure to stay focused on my mission, studying for my exams. I’ve got my own personal project ongoing, something which she has also given me some support with through giving me feedback. I have been doing a lot of body weight to substitute being unable to lift and just made sure that I am busy doing shit.
