So a little background. Dated this girl in high school and college very briefly, we broke up but we've remained friends. So I've known this girl for about 10 years and we're pretty close. We haven't lived in the same city for years, but about a year ago she moved here. She started dating a guy almost immediately, when they broke up I was in a relationship for a few months, and then for the past couple of months we've both been single.

We started hanging out a lot and getting pretty close to one another. We recognized something was happening between us but she wanted to take it slow because of the whole ten year friendship thing. So we agreed. We hung out a few times, each time progressing a little bit, but never leading to sex. Last week, I was at her place, we spent the night talking and making out, I headed home. Everything's great, can confirm she was also feeling great about it since I woke up to a couple smiley emojis.

The next day she bails on the plans we have (a show she wanted to see), and then proceeds to ghost me for a week. I haven't been blowing up her phone too much or anything, but when I do text her I either get a one word response or literally nothing. Absolutely nothing happened between the night we had when I'm convinced everything was great and when she started ghosting me.

Now, I'm obviously very curious what happened, but I don't really expect you guys to be able to figure out what happened. My question is, how do I proceed? I'm sure the obvious answer is to "next" her, but keep in mind she's also my friend of about ten years. Albeit, a shitty friend obviously.

Is it more beta to say nothing and let her get away with it and just go about my life, or to call her out on this?
