Hey guys first time poster but feel free to correct me,

I've read a few of the posts on here describing the Borderline Personality type and felt they were very helpful in my own situation I've been experiencing the past 2 weeks. Here's my situation: I'm 26, 5'6'', 130lb (pretty small/short guy) who has had mild success with women on my campus (occasional hookups, a few threesomes, even experimented with some other guys, full disclosure I'm bisexual) and I befriended a girl in a sorority on my campus who was paired with my fraternity over homecoming through a friend of mine in my house. We've hung out a lot over the past 2 years and had been good resources for each other but were always mutually platonic. She dated other guys and I dated/one night standed other men/women and it was mutually beneficial in the beginning. As time went on I started to notice that every time we met she had a "crisis" situation she was dealing with. 1 month ago I started to get feelings for her and approached her about it. She shot me down so I severed all contact and think I may just go full monk mode to fix my situation.

What kills me analyzing the situation is that my mother has mental issues and even threatened to commit infanticide against me when she had a nervous breakdown a few months after I was born. She had a breakdown recently which led to me learning about this. My father (who admittedly has only seriously dated my mother) is an endless stream of bullshit blue-pill advice and I'm looking for some input on how I can start working on my physique but more importantly how I can get myself out of this "fixer" mentality that I think the combination of my mother's mental illness and father's enabling behavior has ingrained in my own view of relationships.

Any help, criticism, or advice you have would be deeply appreciated.
