As a guy with an end-goal of having a family in mind, I've been wondering, as irrational as it sounds, if you have any moment when you are not your wife's best option, why would she have any emotional attachment to the relationship?

Like currently my mental frame is that women would treat me like a card in their Top Trumps deck, instantly trade up if they could for that +1 higher value card.

I'm sure that's a stretch because most aren't even conscious about branch-swinging. Are there any articles that would clarify this misconception?
