First date with a very cute hb7 (that's as high smv as I'm currently getting on dates). We meet at a bar then go grab some dinner. In the back of my head I'm thinking did i forget her name? But i brush it aside and tell myself nah i got this. She's giving lots of iois and I'm preselected anyway. We're eating and talking about what we do and I'm explaining what i do and in conversation call her by the absolutely wrong name. She is visibly shocked. Considers leaving. Reconsiders. I took a deep breath and tried to muster up a name but didn't want to get it wrong again. Keep my composure i let her tell me her name. Then we go back to talking about the previous topic. I then remember my trp skills and decide to make it into a joke. I intentionally call her the wrong name and say "that's your name now" game on.

She runs with it. Acts like it's her alter ego. Says [wrong name] is x y and z (opposite of her). I add to the fun "yeah and..." we finish eating pay the bill and we go to a place that has video games and beer. Play some games she's escalating on me. Grabbing my sides trying to tickle me to distract me. After we're done with a few games i give her a ride home and kiss goodnight. She tells me she would like to do it again sometime. (Not really sure if she's just saying that or means it).

Of course i felt really bad about getting her name wrong i did my best to not show it despite her constantly giving me shit. I controlled it by peppering wrong name jokes and calling her the wrong name or saying [wrong name] would do x. It was not my finest work but i do think i'll try and see if this goes somewhere.
