I've finally grown the balls to ask some girls out and have gone on 3 first dates over the past few months. We meet up for a smoothie (we're underage) and at the end of that I invite them over to my place to play some pool. After a game or two I either settle down with her to watch netflix or go on a walk to this nice field in my neighborhood depending on if it's day or night. Within a few minutes of either I go for the kiss which leads in to a make out. When it gets heavy we go to my room. 2/3 times we got to shirts coming off before she wasn't feeling comfortable enough to go further, and this last one had to leave early for a legitimate reason.

When it comes to me asking them for date #2 every one of them has said something along the lines of "I'm not in the place to start something like this". I don't fucking get it.

Date #1 was with my oneitis so I was a nervous wreck, wasn't that surprised when I didn't get the second date.

Date #2 I decided to flip the script and be more of a selfish asshole.

Date #3 I tried the goldilocks approach of being right in the middle of my behavior on date 1+2.

I'm tall AF, decently attractive, and know how to hold a fun conversation so those aren't really a problem. One thing that does stick out to me though is I never feel that movie-esque "spark" from a first kiss. I get turned on from the close contact, but it's certainly not magical. Maybe that's just Disney bullshit or maybe I'm a faggot.

Another thing is all these chicks have been at the top of their class academics wise. I'm not dealing with party girls, I'm dealing with the girls who stay at home and study on the weekends. To me though, this shouldn't matter because AWALT and they all want a good time.

As I go back and review this before I post I also am now realizing I'm doing all the work on these first dates. I'm doing all the leading and initiating. Even when it comes to making out I feel like it's more of something I'm doing to her, rather than us doing together if that makes sense. I'm just not getting a ton of enthusiasm back. Maybe it's due to the girls I'm meeting not being very experienced in the dating world. They don't know how to work for it. This wouldn't explain the second date situation though. I don't fucking know.

Any thoughts? I'll elaborate more on anything if needed.

TL;DR: Tried being nice, tried being an asshole, and tried being somewhere in between yet still can't get a second date.
