Career Choice?

The most pathetic people are the ones doing mind numbing shit for a boss they hate and jumping through hoops for some corporation to get thrown their $100k/year bone so they can drive a Lexus and feel 'successful.' Nothing wrong with corporate jobs but most people working in an office didn't dream of doing what they're doing. And it's pathetic to me because they either never had dreams, or they never pursued them - they never tried big or failed big.

I'm a teacher. I like my job most days. I get a lot of time off. That makes me happy. My life is rich, I spend money well, I fuck enough women, why would I go do something else? I tried for bigger dreams but ultimately decided they weren't for me, I really just wanted a job I enjoy and a lot of free time.

If you don't get married and have almost any career - not jumping around from McJob to McJob, but a career like a firefighter or police officer or park ranger or whatever - you're going to be able to be 'rich.' You can save a ton of money being single.

Get a professional license. I am currently studying to become a CPA. Once you have a CPA license, your options dramatically increase. You can do tax, auditing, forensic accounting, consulting, private accounting, government accounting, NFP accounting. Etc. you can even work for the FBI (rigorous training and background checks though).

or you just open your own little tax firm and conquer the world. it's all about how ambitious you are.

you want a career that is based on merit, not something that you can affirmative action or gender quota your way into. women and minorities fail the tests for fire and police dept. at a comical rate, but are still given the job because they're 'diverse'.

you can't affirmative action or gender quota your way into a CPA license.
