Yes I know, there are plenty of subs for life questions and career help, but I feel that trp is no-bs straight to the point with its answers, so I'm asking here. I need to decide on a major. I'd love to work in the film industry, but from a practical perspective, film isn't a good major. For "safer" majors I was thinking about majoring in Computer Science or Information Systems. I'll also be looking into certifications/licenses I can get while in college so I have another fallback. So my question is : Should I go for what I want and major in film, or pick something more practical? On one hand I tell myself that I can do film on my own time after work. On the other hand, I think fully immersing myself into it will significantly improve my odds of success.
