So I am a college student. I'm in a group assignment and we are waiting on our instructor (who is next door). I will provide the series of events in the hope that someone can help me analyse this.

We are waiting around for a bit. One girl starts up saying, "theblackfarce, go call the instructor".

Now I don't know if it's my own flaw or what, but it just pisses.me.off to be commanded around, so I kinda just look at her like, "huh...". Then another girl joins in, "black farce you need to GO and call the instructor". I look at her, "huh.." thinking of something witty to say I smile and say, "why don't you stick your head out that window and go call her".

She kinda laughs, but then 3rd girl mega assertive bitch jumps in in a very loud voice (we are in a room waiting and just outside the room are many people expecting us to behave professionally), "blackfarce, GO AND CALL THE INSTRUCTOR RIGHT NOW!".

Everyone in our group of 7 (5girls 2 guys) staring at me, nobody is going to jump in to help, everyone is looking at me contentiously. My mind is scrambling to think of something, agree and amplify ?? Deflect ?? Ignore ?? I get anxious and kinda freeze and sweat, awkwardly kinda say "...haha she should stick her head out that window or some-" "YOU NEED TO GO AND DO IT NOW!"

I kinda just look around and walk back and forth, then say "heh, ah well let me just take a look" and go and do it,.....I am not afraid of her just did not want to socially isolate myself for something so simple I mean it benefits me to call our instructor too right? And if it was one of them, they would have just taken the instruction too I suppose 🤷. Not sure if I am being over sensitive about this.

Do I just need to practice being in these tense situations more?
