i know many of my friends/peers going for more than just a 4 yr BS in comp sci. me personally im doing a 4 year (CS) degree and it will only take a total of 2.5 years. basically my logic is to grad asap so i can start making money as well as spend less on college costs obviously. well i was discussing this with my friend who is going for his masters. i said why? it isnt worth it. he said it is because it will "set him apart from other candidates, and he will make more starting out". my response was something like you can start working right out of college with a 4 yr BS degree, and that going for masters (2 more years) is a waste of time and money. ive heard from a professor a student started out making over 80k with a BS btw (this is just one example)

who is right? is a masters worth it? what should i tell him if anything (not to prove who is right, i actually just want to help him and get more info). lots of you guys are in the CS field thats why i asked HERE. thanks.
