I've always found that trying to start relationships and date other people always feels like I'm in a competition. I've met other women who obviously have other guys interested in them too. It always feels like I'm competing against other guys to prove I'm the better person, often times failing. Is this just what dating is like why do I feel like I am always being competed against?

I am generally not a very competitive person but I always get this feeling like I'm competing for her attention.
