I've gotten past the anger phase when it comes to AWALT. I've accepted true female nature.
However, when it comes to self-improvement: I seem to anger pretty easily when I fail at something insignificant in the long run, be it lifting, approaching, misunderstanding something at work/with my finances.
What I am asking is: has this happened to you? What was the root cause? I'm working on improving myself because I'm not satisfied with the man I am now, but I'm finding it difficult to "enjoy the process."

I've actually been working towards several solid goals that's going to take a while to achieve.
Join the 1000 lb club by the end of 2020.
Move to the west within 2 years.
I'm intentionally being vague, don't want to get doxxed. But I do have several solid, clear goals.
If I had to name the ultimate goal: Be internally content with myself while on a steady and upward trajectory of self-improvement. I keep being my own worst enemy.
I think that its a matter of accepting that it's been and is going to be a grind. All my life I've been coddled by a single mother, had a lot of things given to me when I never earned them. It really fucked me up in more ways than one.
It just feels like I'm way behind compared to my peers, most of who are solid dudes with plenty of success to call their own because they worked for it. Just seems like I'm constantly playing catch up. When I achieve whatever, I rarely feel a sense of pride or satisfaction.
