Past Friday I finally mustered up the courage to walk up to a girl (hb7) at a party and open. I walked up to her, look her in the eye and said "hey, I don't know you. Let me introduce myself". After that, we chitchat a bit. She talks about her work and asks about my work. I asked about other things she does besides work. She replies. She asked if I have a girlfriend. I said yes. She then tells me she lives together with her boyfriend and blah blah blah. The thing is, this was such a dull conversation. Apparently she didn't think so because she came back later to talk to me again I tease her a bit, it remains boring. How can I make things more interesting in these conversations and avoid chatting about work and hobbies?
