As a rule I try to never completely break ties just in case it will lead to easy sex later on. If she doesn’t give you sex after the date then don’t go out with her again. However, I only feel this way because I don’t have true abundance... yet.

Plates break. Once broken it's over. Move on. If you hook up with one again you conveyed lack of options and abundance. However these are guy general rules and guidelines. The question you have to ask is what is it you want? I don't burn bridges in case I get a screw from a bored plate but they are at the very bottom of my stack.

you can definitely hook up with old plates if you play your hand right. if you accepted a date for the same day she hit you up, that shows lack of abundance. If you want her to start chasing, do what all women do and don’t give a fuck about: cancel, tell her something came up and reschedule
