I'm married, and the marriage is gradually opening up. However, I'm not sure how to deal with the game, how to react should a girl ask about my status. I can think of three options: conceal/lie, be open about my relationship status, pretend the marriage is in bad shape.

What strategy works best?

I'm considering being upfront and raising the subject early, which might be a mood killer though. Is avoiding/deflecting the answer a good strategy?
